These modern industrial little pendants make me happy! It’s simple little statements of a clean glass sphere and a lit element within to add bare beauty to the bones of an interior. This one is more interesting because of the substitution of a single filament bulb for a candelabra lamping. A little more elegant than your average vintage inspired pendant.
Large Globe Pendant from Redefined Home Boutique in Atlanta, Georgia.
This series called Spring A & B of photographic art by Doris Mitsch is so delicate and mysterious. The artistic style makes you feel as though you are suspended in time. The breathing universe which exists constantly has frozen for a moment of focus on the light of nature’s subject. Using a flatbed scanner, Doris is able to capture details not normally experienced through the lens of a camera.

As always, a nod to perfection and grace from the flawless work of Jewelry Designer Alexandra Mor. This new stunning piece is a limited edition flexible chain link diamond ring. Comprised of four rectangular gold links that are connected by Mor’s signature details of knife-edged wire in 18-karat white gold and floating diamond melee. 18-karat white gold set on 8-karat yellow gold with am logo gallery detail. 0.37-karat total.
I regard her jewelry far beyond the realm of tradition. Her work is the art and you… the canvas. Each fragment that composes the whole is the quintessence of luxury and immaculate craftsmenship. Pushing the boundaries of form while remaining timeless are qualities Mor’s work continues to sustain.

Mirror House, Playground Pavillion by MLRP Architects.2011. Fælledparken , Copenhagen. Blurring the lines between nature and architectural form. The location is perfect for this structure and really gives multiple perspectives depending on your point of view. The built environment and landscape share planes in this innovative use of mirror.

The Stripe and Collect Cabinets by Sara Larsson of A2 Designers, Sweden. Beautiful color compositions adding a vibrant interest point to a minimal, bare or possibly a quasi contemporary traditional space. I would love this cabinet next to my September 2011 post of this white contemporary Rococo chair with bright yellow upholstery! http://volatile-design.com/post/9897315336/i-3-yellow-and-had-a-feeling-it-would-be-coming
